Do you have a creative area for your child?

An easy way to have creativity in your child's daily life is to provide an art center designed for them.  Your center should include construction paper, watercolor paints, washable paints, paint brushes, glue, markers, playdough and cookie cutters and art smocks.  Scissors would be available according to your child's age.  Buy a plastic chest with drawers available at any discount store.  Fill the drawers!  Your child now has a creative corner that imagination, fun and fantasy is all theirs .

Age Appropriate

Have you ever done a project with children 2 to 7 years old and realized while doing the project that you were doing all the art and the children were watching?  That is why we wrote Art Based Curriculum.  After looking at websites for projects and activities we found very few for young children from ages 2 and up.  All of our art projects and activities are kid tested and age appropriate for the young child.

Art made easy is what "Art Based Curriculum" is all about

In our book each art project is divided in to three sections:
Supplies: supplies are listed for each project and the follow- up activity
Set Up:    preparation done by an adult, unless otherwise stated
Create:     where you step back and let the child's imagination emerge.
Each alphabet letter has art projects, follow-up activities, books and songs.  We've added a section for tips, basic art supplies, recipes and patterns.  "Art Based Curriculum" is a  great foundation for ideas that are developmentally appropriate for the young child and we have made it is easy and fun for adults and teachers to use our book.

I Have a Computer, Why Do I Need This Book?

You can go to the library or use your computer to look for art projects.  This can be time consuming.   Instead of searching websites for ideas, you can find a complete curriculum located in one place.  "Art Based Curriculum" incorporates art projects, follow-up activities, books and songs to learn the alphabet. This book presents a solid foundation for learning using art and imagination.
